Tobey Maguire is an American voice actor, film producer, and actor popularly known for playing the title character from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, a role he later reprised in Spider-Man: No Way Home. His acting tenure in the Spider-Man franchise earned him a title in the Guinness World Record as “longest career as a live-action Marvel character.”
He has won several awards, including a CinEuphoria Award, MTV Movie+Tv Award, Saturn Award, Teen Choice Award, Toronto Film Critics Association Award, and Tallin Black Nights Film Festival Award.
In 2012, Maguire launched his production company, Material Pictures, and co-produced Good People. He starred in the 2014 chess drama, Pawn Sacrifice, for which he also served as a producer.

Early Life and Career Information
On June 27, 1975, Tobias Vincent Maguire was born in Santa Monica, California, U.S, to Wendy Brown, a screenwriter and movie producer, and Vincent Maguire, a cook. He attended Santa Monica High School but dropped out in his first year. In 2000, he obtained his General Educational Development (GED).
Maguire started his acting career at 14 as a TV actor. He was given minor roles in series like “Roseanne” and “Blossom.” His first appearance was in a feature film titled, The Wizard in 1989. In 1995, Maguire appeared in the film “Empire Records,” but due to his problems with alcohol, he stopped acting for a while.
He, however, joined the Alcoholics Anonymous group to help deal with his drinking problem and later returned to acting with the movie Duke of Groove. He also obtained lead roles in films such as Seabiscuit, Pleasantville, Wonder Boys, and The Cider House Rules. Additionally, he featured in Fear and Loathing, Ride with the Devil, and also lent his voice to the animated family movie “Cats & Dogs” in 2001.
Maguire starred in Spider-Man a year later, based on the famous Marvel Comics superhero. The film was a success and made him a star. He reprised the role in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) and also lent his voice to the video game adaptations of the Spider-Man films. All three movies became part of the highest-grossing movies in their respective years.
In 2006, he starred as a villain in The Good German film and in 2009, starred in the war drama Brothers, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, and critical acclaim for his performance in the film.

But in sixth grade, when he expressed his desire to enroll in a catering class, his mother gave him $100 to enroll in drama class instead, wishing for him to follow in her footsteps. He later dropped out of school and continued to pursue his acting career.
